Professional Experience

Stephen Danz, Managing Partner Stephen Danz has over 30 years of practical legal experience, trying hundreds of cases within that time. Regularly appearing before the state and federal courts throughout the state of California, Mr. Danz has earned a reputation as a leading attorney for plaintiffs’ employment law. Known for his brilliant legal mind and incisive intellect, Stephen Danz is a strong advocate for his clients. When he is not practicing law, Mr. Danz flies his twin engine Cessna and spends time with his wife and two sons.

Stephen Danz has been an avid pilot since the early 70s, but an avid fan of airplanes since he was a young boy growing up in Seattle, Washington. After years of flying the California skies by himself en route to meetings with clients, court appearances, and employment law seminars, Mr. Danz realized that the extra space in his plane could be better used - but he wasn't sure how. That was until he found out about Angel Flight, Inc. Since then, Mr. Danz has flown more hours (voluntarily) than any other pilot. While it is true Mr. Danz loves to fly, he now has an even greater purpose in his flights: to help those that are medically and financially aggrieved. If you ever call the office and ask for Mr. Danz and are told that he is not available, you can bet he is up in the sky piloting a small child to Disneyland, or a cancer patient to a better hospital.

About Angel Flight, Inc.

Angel Flight was created by a group of pilots who believe in the benefit of volunteering. We strive to keep all aspects of the organization volunteer-based.
Angel Flight is a non-profit charitable organization of pilots, volunteers, and friends.
Angel Flight will arrange free air transportation for any legitimate, charitable, medically-related need. This service is available to individuals and health care organizations.
Angel Flight will arrange transportation of those people who are financially distressed or who are in a time-critical, non-emergency situation due to their medical condition.
Angel Flight primarily serves patients needing transportation to or from the heartland region.
Angel Flight is a member of the Air Care Alliance, a group of organizations providing similar services throughout the United States. By coordinating with other organizations, Angel Flight can arrange transportation for patients on longer flights to other parts of the country outside of the Heartland region. Angel Flight has also flown blood products for the Oklahoma Blood Institute and Red Cross in emergency situations.
Angel Flight Patients are usually traveling for surgery, chemotherapy, dialysis, and other treatments. A typical flight may carry patients requiring treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston or the Shriner Hospital in Galveston, TX.
Angel Flight is financially supported primarily by pilots who fly the missions (by donating the use of their airplanes and operating expenses) and by contributions from individuals, service clubs, social and religious groups, and corporations. Angel Flight receives no financial aid from any government entity. There is never a fee of any kind, either to the patient or the health care provider for an Angel Flight. The costs are paid by the volunteer pilots.
